I don't think he did omit the month, he is very conscientious. When I first heard of the dog getting HW, my first reaction was as was yours. But he was adamant that he dosed every month due to the high risk area he was in. He has a very valuable hunting dog and would not want to lose him. ( perhaps the hunting areas are more prone to HW vectors?) I hope that the resistance is limited to a small area or location and that it does not become rife. It would be interesting to hear if others in the LA area have heard of this, but hopefully this is an isolated case.
