It depends on the severity of the flea infestation. If there were a decent amount of visible fleas on each dog then the chances are high that they were able to reproduce and the eggs may be all over your house. This means constant cleaning of any bedding both yours and the dogs as well as daily vacuuming of any carpet and couches, preferably with a vacuum that has a bag so that you can dispose of it after each vacuum. I did this when my little boy had only one visible flea and it honestly in my opinion prevented a big problem. I also washed him daily with a mild but effective flea shampoo and I applied the drops too. It was a bit harsh on him and he was 9lbs. So just be careful of the dosage bc it varies so much and your pups are much smaller. Fleas are a big hassle and the issue is that the eggs lay dormant around the house and can attach easily to the dogs again and reinfest. Good luck!! Hopefully you have caught it in the early stages!
