I have an older model of this stroller, amazon lists the shipping weight as 15lbs.

My grandmom has used it to steady herself, but she doesn't really lean on it, I don't think it would be good to put a lot of weight on.

It might be too hard for you to close though, you have to pull the 2 plastic rings on the side and kinda fold it in half, I have trouble doing it sometimes.

I was playing with this stroller in a store

Amazon.com : Pet Gear Travel Lite Pet Stroller... I don't like it at all, it was harder to close than mine, didn't take up much less room when folded, my dog had less room, it wasn't as stable, and I didn't like the umbrella handles.
