Our house is very open and when she is given the run of the house I guess it is just so much space for her age/development that she cannot perceive of all that space being her "den". Therefore she does eliminate.
I have total faith that we will get this under control. Not worried. Just takes alot of time and patience. They so want to please. I don't think it is on purpose.. they just have to be "ready". |
Do you use the bell hanging from the doorknob for her to ring when she needs to go out? As soon as Lexi learned to go to the door to go out I added the bell and she caught on super fast. It's great because I can be anywhere in the house and here her ring the bell. She has only had 2 accidents since she was 4 months old and one was because I forgot to put the bell on the doorknob and one because I was taking a shower and forgot to put her in her crate.
