Cody wears a collar 24/7, it has his tags & micro chip tag. I leave it on for "just in case", ya never know what can happen, house fire, break through screen if he sees a cat, squirrel, butterfly. Knock on door, I have a gated front deck but that doesn't mean a stranger coming to knock on my door will close that gate. Cody is adopted, I have him 9 months, he is 3 y/o, came from the city, now lives in the country, everything is new to him, he is curious about everything. I am still getting to know him and I don't trust him. I live in a heavily wooded area, if he gets loose he may not respond to any command. When I walk him I use a harness. Collar is safe as long as it's not snug.
