I must say I find it VERY refreshing to hear a holistic vet recommending mainstream, conventional and processed prescription foods. This vet is a keeper and someone I might even like if he/she were mine! As Jodi said, the hydrolyzed RC food is a nice choice as is the Purina HA. But, some like to try novel proteins and/or limited ingredient diets first. I think your vet is giving excellent advice. Consider yourself lucky!
