Maybe it happened just once that he was especially deep asleep when he was disturbed, and after that it clicked in his brain to react the same from then on? Luma has scream-barked at me and snapped when I tried to adjust her sleeping position in the middle of the night.
How is his eyesight? I ask bc sometimes in complete darkness, Luma is more alarmed if she sees my fiancé walking around but she can't tell who it is. She thinks she's our alert dog...but she's a harmless wimp
