Hi!! I just got home from a cruise to Alaska Wednesday,so I totally understand where you are coming from! I left my boys in the care of my mother in law. She is NOT a dog person! Lol! I just gave her instructions to feed, change potty pads, play time,etc. I chanced the hair situation! I bathed the boys and pulled their hair up into a tight topknot. Aftera week and a half away, I returned to my oldest with his hair almost in Mint condition. (he is 5 and isnt very rowdy), and Mack Brown (my 3 year old "blue born") with a scrungee hanging on by a thread and knots to boot! With a bit of detangler, I got him fixed right up!! So..my point, DONT CUT THEIR HAIR! You can work with it! Have fun!!!
