I would find another groomer, or preferably, groom at home as I do now.

Too many dogs have fallen off tables with the grooming loop around the neck, resulting in injury or death. Some groomers are tempted to step away from the dog on the table with the loop. A big no no.

A harness cannot be used because you cannot groom around the harness.

I do most of my grooming on a counter that has a wall on one side, and my body blocking the other. When I work on an open counter, my hand never leaves the dog, although my boys work well with me and never try to get away.
