Tiny bits of string cheese works great. Even though he needs to put on weight, it's not a good idea to give him fatty foods such as hot dog, steak, hamburger. Boiled plain chicken breast without the skin is also very good. Give just enough, about the size of a pencil eraser. Their tummies are the size of a golf ball, some even smaller. They need a balanced meal in them, otherwise can go malnourished.
