Oh, Brit mentioned AHS. The first season is very 'thriller'...second is pretty dark, and third is kind of camp-y. I liked s2 best because it was so emotional. Really dove into the human psyche. You've got a guy blamed of killing his wife, and you see him start to question himself and his sanity when everyone is repeatedly forcing him to admit his guilt. You have the head of the asylum who is riddled with guilt in her past, see her being dethroned and forced to live through the same torture she inflicted on the patients. You see corruption in the church and in science. You have a writer wrongfully committed to the asylum and watch her fight to stay alive and be free...it's honestly one of the most emotionally complex storylines I've seen on TV.
