I free feed both of mine. The problem I have is that my pup wants to eat the adult food and my 12 yr old girl Schnauzer wants to eat the puppy chow. I feed them both BB (BB puppy and BB adult)and also mix a little Nutro puppy in with the BB puppy(It's much smaller kibble). My girl gained 2 lbs in about 4 wks getting into the puppy chow so I now leave the puppy's bowl in his ex-pen. He jumps in of out during the day but the 12yr old won't go in there. He still eats out of her bowl when he happens to be in near it. They both drink out of her bowl when he is out of the ex-pen.
