lol cute story, an unpleasant introductory to water can scare them from ever liking water. My last girl feared the water. When she was 9 months old I took her to a lake, there were Canadian Geese on the shore, it was the first time she ever saw geese, she started to chase them, I dropped her leash to let her go, they flew off into the water about 10 feet away, Matese never saw water before (this was in the month of May, camping season just started for me & my babies) so she chased after them right into the water, when she hit that water she freaked out, went into panic mode,I had to go in after her, that scared her for life, she wouldn't even go into the kiddie pool if it had 3 inches of water. Matese was a big girl, as an adult she weighed 17 lbs, but she was always afraid of the water, so sad. The 3 before her all loved the water, I couldn't keep them out of their kiddie pool, I had to get a big one that would fit 3 at one time, they weighed from 10 to 13 lbs. The pool would hold 2 feet high water enough for the to paddle around in,so to me it was sad that Matese was so scared of water, That's why I want to be very careful with Cody at the age of 3 y/o and just being introduced to water and swimming. Thanks for sharing you story.
