The best thing to do if you want to breed is find a reputable breeder you can shadow and to mentor you and then earn there respect so you can breed a dog from from there lines that they have worked extremely hard to create and normally don't give breeding rights out. You also won't know if a puppy is breeding quality until they mature. A female under 5 pounds should not be bred. It's so important you watch several whelps to know what each and every little sign of distress is so you can get her help if she shows one otherwise you could lose her and the pups. You also need to realize she could reject the puppies it does happen then you need to feed the puppies every 2 hours and do EVERYTHING the mom does like keep them warm, stimulate them to go potty and clean them. There is also testing that should be done that your regular vet can not do. Most breeders do not even break even and doing it right is very expensive. The only real reason to breed is to better the breed. Breeding is a very serious thing and should not be taken lightly.
