When we found our last guy Lou I don't think he had swam before he was 4 when we found him but we had a pool…he was flying around the perimeter of the pool after a bunny and hydroplaned (on the wet pool decking) right into the deep end on a very cold day (cold for AZ
) he HATED it… I taught him how to get in and out of the pool the next spring and we put a several bricks on one of the steps so he could find his way out if he fell in again…he never did like the pool but I wish he had! Yorkies don't always like to be wet it reminds them of the B-A-T-H word.
