I avoid drinking sugar at all costs since I'm a type 2 diabetic. If I'm going to indulge in a sugar rush, I eat it. That being said I don't do artificial sweeteners either. I do use Stevia and Monk Fruit. Both are natural fruit sweeteners and both are passable.
I'm not into the fancy teas, I drink a mixture of 1/2 Uncle Lee's green tea and black tea with lemon and/or lime. Most of the time it's iced tea, but in winter I have been known to enjoy a cup of hot tea. |
oh me too... on the tea being southern and the tea being a requirement!!! I now hear it called "sweet tea" but when I grew up it was just Iced tea --- always sweet!!!!! I hate to say I even put iced tea in my babies bottles
I don't drink it as much as I used to because of the sugar. I can not drink instant, and the artifical sugars are just as bad for you as sugar!!! I am now trying a little bit of honey. If you put the honey in while brewing it doesn't take much!!! I am going to try the flavored tea bag, I do love peach tea
