I bought a male one time that didn't match his sire when I DNA'd him for breeding, and come to find out she "thought" she knew who was who when she mixed the litters up. It cost her suspension, and DNA for all her dogs. It was a nightmare because it took forever to get it straightened out and cost her a fortune, plus the embarrassment of suspension. I just wouldn't take the chance. |
This is the picture my mentor painted for me! I never did that again! She stressed to me that the AKC does not care that YOU think you know who is who....they will make you DNA everyone remotely involved, plus all the babies......suspension, embarrassment, tons of money for all the DNA testing, etc.... It just isnt worth it for me.
