My Bichon wouldn't make a sound if I accidently hurt him (he knows how to bark - but he's just very quiet - most of the time).
On the other hand, if I accidentally hurt my Yorkie - only a tiny little bit - he'd act like he's being killed. He is really a wimp - when it comes to a little pain.
