Almost all dogs are challenged by tug-o-war and playing with their toys with us and know they have teeth and how to win the game! Tibbe still plays TOW that way - by working up the toy and trying to get my hand. He's got a soft mouth so he usually doesn't ever bite too hard. If he does, I tell him "No" and stare at him saying "No bad bite!" and, here's the cute part, he usually sends himself into self-imposed exile - walking slowly into the other room or into his crate! It's too cute!

Tibbe is not big on returning the ball directly to me and will challenge me for it unless I tell him "Mommie throw it!" as he puts it down and he will almost always stand back to allow me to throw it as he loves to run to get it. He'll get it and bring it back to near me but not near enough I don't have to stretch out to get the ball and say my "Mommie throw it!" to keep him from trying to get it. He just can't bring himself to actually bring it to me and put it in my actual hand and unless I train him to do that, doubt he ever will, he's so competitive. I love that he's aggressive, playful and wants to challenge me during play!
