You need omega 3's and calcium for home cooking because your dog won't be consuming raw meaty bones or ground bones for calcium and fish oil contains omega 3's, chia and flax seeds are also a source of omega 3's. Spirulina and Blue Algae are also important and eggs contain all the amino acids our dogs require. You can also finely crush the egg shells and add to the food post cooking as a means of adding calcium
