I too have to be careful when fetching w/ my Wylie bc he too will put the ball down and then go to grab it again, and if he accidentally gets your hand - OUCH. It doesn't happen as much now, but once in a while it still does. I suppose I could make him sit every time he puts the ball down, but I just don't do it - it seems more fun for him to fetch w/out having to sit each time (kind of a pain too). But that's another option for you once she learns how to sit.


Thanks for the reply. Hopefully she will get better with this. The funny thing is, I could go to grab a toy she is not even playing with, but if she sees me grabbing for it she will go for it too. It's like she thinks I'm stealing her toys or something! Will be interesting to see how she is with the new pup we are getting at the end of this month. I'm worried there will be fighting over toys.
