I have noticed that once Lexi sniffs his but, she is good. It's like completely different after 1 second. I've noticed that a few times.
It drives me nuts though when we go for a walk and she sees a dog she barks, but then after we start seeing a few more she realizes that there is going to be many dogs so stops barking or feeling like she has to protect me. I'm not sure whats going on, she thinks shes so tough lol. |
Do you hold her back when she sees other dogs? I thought my Lexi was adhesive toward other dogs because she would bark and growl and go crazy when the neighbors dogs was out. I then signed her up for obedience classes and i was so nervous how she would be. The first class she went in and went up to the other dogs with no problem. No barking or growling. I talked with the neighbor and did an experiment. I let Lexi go up to her dog and she did great, if I picked up Lexi or held her back from the dog her would start going crazy and growling. I realized all along she just wanted to play and was barking and growling because she was being held back. Also, Lexi will get protective of me if she is sitting with me and a dog comes up to us, but if i put her down she is fine.
