playing with toys correctly Lexi loves to play with her toys and her favorite is tug-o-war. But when she plays this, she starts of fine pulling on the toy, but then will start to grab at it higher and higher towards my hand and if I don't let go she will get my hand with her teeth. I don't think she is trying to bite, she is just trying to get the toy away from me. She will do this with any toy and when she wants to play, she will grab a toy and push it up against my hand to try and get me to play. I try ignoring her, but every time I try to play again she still does it. I refuse to play tug-o-war with her anymore, instead when she has a toy in her mouth I will just grab another toy to throw for her. Also, when playing catch she will sometimes drop the ball, but when I go to grab it, she will quickly get it sometimes getting my hand in the process. Now I will slowing go for the ball, and when she jumps at it I will not play with her or grab a different ball instead. I just don't know if this is normal for puppies and what I can do to get her to stop this behavior. Oh, and she's 7 months old. |
