An ortho vet will do a thorough examination/xrays etc and diagnose the problem and treat it. A dislocated hip should not even happen once, unless of course there was an accident of some sort. If your pup is now limping I wouldn't venture to guess if it was the hip or pain at this point.

Considering how much pain she was in before we took her in, it's very possible that the pain meds wore off and she is sore there. She is resting for a week as advised and only on her feet to go potty and eat. I plan to take to to a specialist to follow up. It seems things always happen on weekends when all the regular Dr's are closed. :-/
