That is NOT true about liver shunts. A lot of vets believe that, but I can tell you that my Teddy Bear had NO symptoms except for occasional vomiting that afterwards I realized probably was a symptom. Just wanted you to know and you can tell her that it is not true that they always have symptoms. I had Teddy Bear for 7 years and his blood work was done yearly and never showed any alterations. He had vomiting on occasion...not a lot but more than any others. That is why I posted his thread so you could learn about it.

I hope it is what your vet suspects and the medicine helps her.
