So happy your baby is improving! When we see blood, we have a tendency to loose our minds!! And blood has a very unique way of looking 10x as much as there actually is! But you did the right thing...blood coming from anyplace on your pup, unless it is her cycle, is not normal and certainly does warrant consultation with a vet. Telephone consultations are OK if the pup is not otherwise symptomatic and the blood is flecks...if there are pools of blood, that is emergent and pools of blood are precursors of shock and .....well, you just need to run to the vet ASAP! The chicken and rice is great for his tummy. Frequent small feedings are better for him than allowing him to eat a full meal and possibly vomiting from overeating. Good job with your baby!
