lol I also jokingly thought the same thing, mine is 3 y/o and barks if a fly flies over Alaska lol, and is a non stop talker, sometimes he sounds like a porpoise, but in all honesty, if I had a one year old dog that didn't bark, we would have been to the vet a longggg time ago.
