Bake a Bone Dog Treat Machine Cody received a” Bake-A-Bone Dog Treat Maker” machine. I’m not sure if I want to use it. The person that gave it to me for him keeps asking me how the treats turned out. I keep putting them off, making excuses. So I am coming to my YT family for your opinions. First has anyone used this kind of dog treat machine (the box reads "as seen on TV" I have never seen this advertized but I am not much of a TV person)….There are many flavor bones to make. One recipe “Apple Cinnamon Bones” ingredients are, whole wheat or regular flour, oatmeal, milk, baking powder, applesauce, honey,1/2 tsp cinnamon. Another recipe calls for 1 cup of bacon bits, plus some of the above ingredients. Other receipts same above ingredients plus 1/4 cup oil, 1 beaten egg, a beef bouillon cube and 1 tbsp brown sugar. Other recipes will call for 1tsp salt or 12 ounces non-fat cream cheese (this would be for icing the biscuits) 2 tsp honey, another calls for 1 tsp garlic powder, another for ½ cup chopped fresh mint & parsley, another calls for 1 tbsp oregano, other ingredients are 1 tbsp butter, 1 cup oatmeal, 1 egg yolk, 1 cup pureed liver, 1 cup cornmeal, 2 tbsp molasses, 1 cup instant mashed potatoes, 1 pkg unflavored gelatin, 1 can 8 oz salmon, 1 ½ cups soy milk, 1 tsp reduced sodium soy sauce, 1 can tuna,1 cup wheat germ, ¼ margarine. 2 cups rye or oat flour,1/2 cup shortening. I’m not sure of using some of the ingredients, reason I haven’t made these biscuits. What are your opinions about the various ingredients. Is it safe to use them. I would love to make my baby good healthy, fresh, homemade treats. I just want to make sure they are safe and healthy for my boy… Thanks for any and all replies.
