Thank you so much for your prayers for Ginger. She is all moved into her new NH. She was confused today because she is in a new environment but the repetition will soon make things familiar. I spent about 4 hours there this afternoon getting her room in order, hanging her clothes and tossing out all of the junk that she accumulated. Things will be much better now that I will have my watchful eyes on her all the time. For now she is on the Rehab side of the building and should be able to stay there until her Medicare Part A runs out and her Medicaid starts. The long term side of NHs are very sad but the place is very clean and the staff seems to be great so far.
People have asked how I could find the capacity to help a woman that gave me away when I was a baby. Really I have no answer to that question. I just feel deep in my soul that this is the right thing to do for her. When she looks into my eyes I can tell how much she has always loved me. That is really all that matters to me.
