I at one time had 3 yorkies (all now past) they were all 3 years apart. Like Wylie's Mom said, he all depends on your dog. When I had just the one and bought home an unplanned baby my first one took to the sofa and stayed there, did not interact with baby JAWS. When the new puppy was able to jump on and off the sofa (6 weeks to 2 months of them living together, puppy about 4 to 5 months old) my older one had no choice but to accept her, they became great buds, 3 years down the road, another unplanned puppy comes home. Now I have 2 older ones seeking out higher grounds, yes, the sofa. Again, as soon as the new puppy was able to get on and off the sofa the 2 older ones had no choice. The 2 older ones were not spayed, the last one was. They all got along just fine. My girls were sweet natured babies and got along with all dogs, big and small. BTW all 3 weighed from 10 lbs to 13 lbs, they were not tiny. Does your lil girl need a playmate? will it stop her whiny? Will she be less needy? It's a gamble. I now have an adopted 3 y/o male, he is with me now 8 months, he would never accept another dog, he is very demanding of my attention, he would never share attention with another dog, and he is very happy to be the only one. Good luck with what ever discussion you make. 2 yorkies, double trouble, double fun lol.
