Maybe difficult, but not impossible. I got Lexi at 13 weeks old. It took me one week to potty train her to go outside with accidents only if I didn't see her at the door. And then 2 more days to learn to ring a bell when she needs to go. Since 15 weeks old she maybe has has 2 accidents total. One when it was pouring down rain and wanted nothing to do with being outside and one when I was taking a shower and I forgot to take her out before I got into the shower.
Don't worry, he is only 9 weeks old and potty training will come with time. Just make sure you are consistent and stay positive.
