Animal Smiley 036 Indoor Potty Training

Greetings,

I just got my sweet little Charlie a week ago. He is 9 weeks old and just over 1.5lbs. My fiance and I wish to train him to use either a litter box or pee pads, as he is far too small to be comfortable outside. The breeder trained him to use paper, but he seems to have forgotten all of that since coming home.

We crate Charlie at night in a play pen with water, a bed, and his pee pad. He hasn't had a single nightly accident. However, during the day he has many accidents. He doesn't seem to ever want to go back to his pee pad to go. We interrupt him when he is peeing in the wrong spot and put him on his pee pad. We use the command "go potty" several times. It works about 50% of the time. When it works, he gets lots of praise and a few frozen peas (his favourite treat).

Any suggestions to get sweet Charlie to remember to pee on the pad during the day?
