New research shows that many of the vaccinations our dogs get will last them for years. I prefer the Dr. Dodd's protocol for vaccinations. She recommends titer tests every 3 years rather than just guessing if your dog needs vaccinations. I feel that it is a personal decision that we all need to make for our pets but it is not a decision that should be taken lightly. I do titers for the core vaccines....my dogs are still positive after 5 years. As more and more research is done on these vaccines, I think it will show what many researchers are already mumbling....these core vaccines are good for at least 7 years, and rabies as well as the core vaccines may very well be effective for the life of the dog in some cases.....
