Not pathetic at all! It's sweet.
Max has been sleeping on his Cloud Nine bed rather than cuddling with me because I'm too hot (we don't like our a/c too cold in the summer). I miss him.
Could be something simple like maybe you are sleeping differently (?) moving around more in your sleep. That was my problem with Teddy for awhile. Lately I have been sleeping like a stone, so he has been braver and sleeping next to me.
