I went through this with my parents, they started giving my baby table scraps and he went from 10 pounds to 13 pounds. Also it eventually lead him to getting pancreatitis which almost killed him. I know its hard for some people to resist giving these little guys what ever they want but you have to watch it. Tell him there are treats called fruitables that are made with fruit. Also talk to him about measuring the food. If she gets a lot of treats she gets less food. I have been doing this for a month plus longer walks and he has lost a pound. I know it can be hard especially with his background but he has to know, what he is doing could kill her. Dogs can get diabetes, high blood pressure, and have heart problems from being overweight.
