When getting a pup from a reputable breeder you are normally going to pay $1,000 to $2,500 and even then most reputable breeders aren't making money. It costs a lot to breed and when prices are very low it normally in my opinion means they probably skipped steps in doing the right things like the genetic testing and such. But price does not mean a breeder is good. In my opinion you probably got your dog although perfect from a not so reputable breeder and I am so glad your not having any really big issues. I paid $1,000 for my dog and she ended up coming from a broker who got there puppies from a puppy mill and she has had many many issues but to me is perfect. I will know in the future if I get another puppy how to go about getting one from a reputable breeder thanks to YorkieTalk but I am so glad to have my baby. I am so happy I got her and not someone who would never take care of her issues and love her even with all her faults.
