Be very careful putting oil into anything you are feeding....if baby gets oil into his lungs, that sets up an oil pneumonia aspiration and the mortality rate of an oil aspiration is very, very high. (That is why you do not induce vomiting in anyone that has taken anything with an oil in it....if they get it into their lungs on the way up, chances are THAT will be what kills them. If baby is licking on your fingers, maybe he can lick some of the oil off your fingers..... |
