Good points - Taylor. And as I so well know it can take only one mosquitoe bite to infect your dog with heartworm.

I do yearly blood work on my seniors, but I do bloodwork - 9-12months old, repeat at 2yrs old along with the specialized testing I do, then 4yrs old - unless some other issue arises, then 6 yrs old, then from 8 yrs on annually.
