What does this mean? She can't get after 8 either?
And I don't feel it is necessarily better to spay at 6mths old. It for me would depend on a number of factors that should be talked over with your vet. The state of retained puppy teeth, her overall health,to name 2 things.
And you mentioned she is only 17 wks old and has had all her shots, it is hard to see that this vet is going by the most recent AAHA guidelines. But I don't know your state law in terms of when rabies is mandatory to be given.
My puppy got her Rabies at closer to 8 months old, and I would have waited longer, but did not want to risk any problem, as she as all my dogs are, are walked outside go swimming etc. | sorry about the typo she cant eat after 8pm on the night before surgery |
