My name is Jon Groom. I am new to this site. My wife Ilze and I are very excited to have found this site as we wish to share some pictures shortly, once we get used to the workings of posting on the website.
We are based in Cape Town, South Africa. We have 2 Yorkies, Bubbles and Misha.
Bubbles is 6 years old and is gold in colour (she was chocolate brown at birth). Misha is 3 years old and is silver in colour, younger but also much larger.
Question:
Misha's nose, over the past year has changed from black to pink, and has almost returned back to black. She is loosing hair showing pink skin at the end of her nose and has, especially round one eye lost the hair. It is now very pink, moist and swollen. The Vet, at this stage thinks that it might be something called lupus and she is due to go in for an operation for a skin sample from her eye.
We are very nervous of this and wondered if anybody could give us advice, comment and if necessary moral support. ;-)
We are looking forward to being active members of this site.
