I haven't noticed it much recently - but when I first got my puppy, and he snuggled up to me --- I couldn't believe how warm he was. It was like holding a little hot water bottle.

He has never been sick and has grown and thrived since I got him. He's about 6 months old now - and still as healthy as can be. But - I have to say that I don't notice him being so warm anymore - or have I gotten used to it?

So - I'll have to say that I also experienced what I thought was a "warm little dog" with my pup. But he was never sick and is still very healthy.

Perhaps - it's a Yorkie thing - given the type of hair they have. We know their hair can't keep them very warm - so maybe they just have warmer little bodies than some other dogs do.

AND - someone here told me (true or not) that Yorkies with "cotton coats" are warmer than other Yorkies. I certainly can vouch for this - just thought I'd mention it.
