Hi,

I'm still fairly new here. My little yorkie, Penny, is 16 weeks old now but since we got her shoves her bum in other animals faces!

She does it to other dogs at the park, at training classes, sometimes when she meets people she turns with her back end to them, and we have 2 cats. She's so sure she wants them to sniff her rear, if the cats are relaxing by the back door she'll back all the way up to their face, like reversing. She's sat on my younger cats face multiple times.

If other dogs try and sniff her at the park she cocks her leg, lets them have a good sniff. Like she's up for anything. Or rolls over and lets them smell.

I've read that this is just submissive behaviour. Is there truth in that? Will it go on forever? Anyone else with the same embarassing situation? Will it improve when she is spayed?

It's hilarious. Just a little embarassing and I'd like to know why!
