My Bichon is shy - especially so around any new person who comes to the house -- but he never forgets anyone he has met before. I had a girlfirend come over whom he met over a year ago -- and he was thrilled to see her again. She got a lot of jumps and kisses when she first walked through the door. There is no doubt that he remember her. ===== He does this all the time - so I know he remembers people very well.
So - how in the world could a dog forget their owner (the person they especially love) in just a week????????
