Please check with your vet prior to giving any type of supplement to your pup to make sure it's safe and the dosage is appropriate. I can find references to it being used as treatment for anxiety in some dogs, but it can have side effects.
I had the same issue with Scarlett when it came to grooming. My best solution was hiring a mobile groomer so she's not sitting in a cage getting worked up when the groomer isn't working on her. Even though she's one of 5 dogs in my house, being caged around other dogs stresses her. Being the only one in the grooming van along with the faster completion time makes a huge difference for her.
