We walked for almost 90 minutes last night and when we got home he was running around with his toys as if he had just woken up!!!! He's like the engerizer bunny! I take him for a 20 minute walk in the morning and after dinner we walk about an hour. Any suggestions on calming him down and thoughts on melatonin? Now I'm worried he might get nipped if he doesn't calm down at the groomers.

Hmmm, honestly? I would look for another groomer and interview them first...no nothing formal but my Mia2 was hyper at the groomer too, the groomer nicely complained, so I decided to find another groomer that would work with her...never another complaint...I don't know anything about Melatonin for dogs. I know that many groomers do NOT want them sedated and that if you tell them you did they won't work on your pup.

I'd just find a groomer who has more patience.
