Default Yorkie Potty Inside and Outside???

Hello All,

I have a 5 month old male. He was 1st trained to go potty on the wee wee pads, then I wanted him to also learn how to go outside potty. He is smart and goes on the wee wee pads inside, and also goes outside when I walk him. However, when he goes outside he plays a bit and wants to explore a lot so that is why it takes time for him to go. The last walk is about 10PM and sometimes he can hold it through the night and sometimes not (when I wake up at 5:30 AM he's already gone on the wee wee pad.

Also, throughout the day he is constantly going on the wee wee pads (not sure about the timing though).

Question - At what would they be able to hold it through the night until morning and stop having to go so much during the day? I was hoping that I would be able to walk up in the AM before work, and that he would only have to go like 1 to 2 times on the wee wee pads until I get home and walk him a 2nd time. My mom is home so he's not alone anyway.

Any reply would be helpful. Thanks so much.
