I take mine out of the freezer, I do let them sit at room temp while I cook the rest of my meal, then I put the thawed, shucked cobs in salted boiling water, that I have also added a little sugar to.....I dont ever "time" anything, I pinch and pull and stick and poke and smell and taste everything for doneness....but I think after the cobs go into the rapidly boiling water, when the water returns to boiling, I let them boil about 7-10 minutes....until they are tender to the fork.
