Default Anyone have experience in freezing corn.....

I'm trying to avoid eating anything made with GMO corn so finding non gmo sweet corn has been a bit difficult. I did locate a farmer who's going to have a crop of corn in August. Since it has been so difficult to locate sweet corn w/o gmo's I wanted to get a bit to freeze for later in the year.

My question is, can you freeze it still on the cob and have it taste like fresh? Will the texture suffer doing it this way? Any tips will be appreciated.
