I think it would be ok. My friend used it that way and didn't have an issue but ask Jenni, she will know!
About the cloud 9 - thank you. That is Daisy (age almost 14) next to Winston (age 3). They were decked out with July 4th bows. But, no one loves a cloud 9 bed more than my Teddy who refuses to get out of it. You can see here how we must carry him around in it.
