I forgot to mention...

I comb the longer Hair back away from their toes/claws, and clip/shave their feet, then, comb the longer hair back over them. I do this with an Electric Trimmer. It's quick, very thorough, and they get used to it quickly. When the longer hair gets too long, I just trim it where it's just above the floor.
